Peter Foyston

Chairman

Peter is a growth focused consumer products executive with over 20 years of senior manager experience, a strong marketing background and deep international experience across Asia (especially China and the South Pacific).

Peter is currently CEO of Trilogy Natural Products, pioneers and experts in pure natural plant oils and clean beauty formulations. Previously Peter has held senior roles at Procter & Gamble, Chiquita Brands, Campbell Soup and Goodman Fielder.

These roles have seen Peter successfully launch new brands to market in
China including Pampers nappies and Crest toothpaste and gaining extensive agricultural management experience including of plantations, poultry, stockfeed and dairy farms.

Peter graduated with B. Commerce Honours from Queen’s University, Canada and gained an MBA from Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, USA.

Duncan Milne

Director

Duncan has over 40 years’ experience in the global agribusiness sector in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States. He has extensive experience in commodity trading, risk management, global food sales, brand management, R&D, M&A, greenfield start-ups, restructuring and governance.

Duncan has been a founding shareholder and director of several successful greenfield start-ups including Martinborough Vineyard Ltd, Hodder & Taylors Ltd and Open Country Cheese Ltd. He is also a former Director of Landcorp Farming Ltd (Pamu Farms of New Zealand).

Duncan is currently a shareholder and director of Nui Markets Ltd, Hodder & Taylor Ltd.

Zoe Attwood

Director

Zoe has been working in governance for 20 years across a range of different companies including several dairy organisations in both Australia and New Zealand.

Zoe has had an international senior executive career, specializing in science and technology, innovation, and commercialisation. She has held global, leading roles including with Dairy Australia Ltd, Owens Illinois, and Fonterra Co-operative Group Ltd in Australia. She has worked extensively across food & beverage and biotechnology industries, including almost 40 years in agriculture, forestry, and horticulture.

Zoe has an MBA from University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors NZ and Australia. She is currently a member of the Ministry for Primary Industries Investment Advisory Panel for the Sustainable Food and Fibres Futures Program, and Chair/Director of a small private company and a not-for-profit organisation. .

 

Robert Milne

Chief Executive Officer

Having begun his career at KPMG, Robert has spent the last 10 years setting up and running greenfield start-ups. He has extensive experience in business management, youth employment information technology, accounting, and finance.

Robert helped found NZDG in 2019, leading the organisation as CEO for the past four years. He has progressed NZDG from an idea through to where it is today.

Robert has a BSc and BCA from Victoria University of Wellington, is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Directors.

Antony Hill

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Antony has 20 years experience in the New Zealand agriculture industry, most recently spending 12 years with Fonterra Co-operative Group. This included a number of environmental and farming roles in particular overseeing a diverse farming portfolio including dairy, drystock and cropping farms as well as managing resource consents conditions associated with wastewater farms.

Antony holds a BSc from the University of Waikato majoring in Resources and Environmental Planning .

Shaun Murray

Farm Operations Manager - Waharoa

After spending more than two decades working in the New Zealand and Australian agriculture industry, Shaun understands what is required to make a profitable, efficient, and successful farming operation.

Shaun has played a key role over the previous four years before joining Oete Goat Farm, developing what was a small dairy cow farm to an indoor milking goat herd of more than 3,000 does. Shaun has a thorough understanding of the dairy goat sector and the specific needs of successfully farming dairy goats.

Shaun was appointed as Farm Manager at Waharoa in January 2020 and is responsible for all daily operations of the farm.

 

Mark Gourrege

Farm Operations Manager - Oakdale

Mark had an extensive career in agriculture in South Africa, primarily in sugar cane farming although he held the role of General Manager and Director of a combined 6,000ha beef and sugar cane farm, before emigrating to New Zealand in 2016. Since landing in New Zealand Mark has worked in the dairy goat industry before taking the Farm Manager role at Oakdale in June 2023 including two years with NZDG prior to his appointment in this role.
