Vision
New Zealand Dairy Goats Limited has been founded to become a leading operator within the growing New Zealand dairy goat industry. Our vision is to become one of the most commercially efficient and environmentally friendly goat farming operations in Australasia
Our principles
Our core principles drive everything we do at New Zealand Dairy Goats.
01. Quality Genetics
New Zealand Dairy Goats take the genetics seriously. We have sourced our goats from some of the best farmers in New Zealand and have continued to develop and grow the quality of our herd through a dedicated genetics programme. New Zealand has the expertise and ability to develop and retain the best herds in the world and we are part of this mission.
02. Ethical, sustainable, best practice farming
We have invested in some of the country’s most successful goat farming talent, quality milking parlour equipment and leading farming technology in order to create the optimal conditions for our goats on farm. We are also seeking to enhance farm system innovation and recruit goat farming expertise from overseas and domestically to collaborate, share ideas and develop our farms and infrastructure to the highest possible standards while focusing on sustainable farming practices. Look after our goats and they will look after us, look after our land and it will provide for us.
03. strategic off take partners
We will only enter into off-take agreements with partners who share our values. Strategically selecting the right off-take partner will allow us to leverage off their distribution channels and global market intelligence. Our partnership with NIG meets this high standard that we set for ourselves.
04. Continuous Improvement
Continuous Improvement Culture is a mindset as much as anything, with four key components. Measure, analyse, staff buy in and to celebrate improvements and success. A culture of continuous improvement fosters innovation, intellectual curiosity and an honest and respectful work environment where staff are able to put forward ideas without a fear of being wrong.
